Our clients required a substantial family home with a basement car parking area. The decision was taken to substantially modify one of Informs standard designs.
The Seasons Home was reinterpreted and individualized to create a particularly unique residence with an almost seamless relationship with its landscaped setting.
The home has been developed with strict application of sound design principals-with a central service core, efficient traffic flow and zoned living areas.
A strict adherence to low energy design principals ensures that there is sunlight penetration into all living spaces during the winter, together with a high passive thermal performance through insulation and material selection. Similarly shading from harsh sunshine with appropriate window sizes and placement, together with broad eaves overhangs and effective cross ventilation, ensures that the home performs effectively during the summer months.
